Company History

For the past 15 years, Carole Nicolaides, Founder and President of Progressive Leadership Inc, has worked with a variety of high tech and medical companies managing complex and diverse projects. She successfully managed and led diverse teams to execute strategic change and deliver breakthrough project results. During this time, she found a common downfall in most businesses. Whether high tech, biotech, financial most companies focused heavily on methodologies, technology solutions and very little on leadership development; yet, without great leaders their projects went nowhere. Even the companies that invested in leadership development and organizational change management struggled to collaborate with the departments that actually executed large change programs.

Carole realized that her unique experience in integrating leadership development, organizational change management with program management execution could help organizational leaders lead through change and founded Progressive Leadership Inc, to help organizations drive successful business transformations.

In 2008, she expanded her practice and included information technology consulting since many of her clients were involved in technology transformations and needed a business savvy that was vendor independent, best practices expert and offered technology consulting to real everyday problems. With this addition, Progressive Leadership became a tiny strategy and technology management boutique firm aiming for big impact.

Progressive Leadership's team is comprised of program management, organizational development architects, and technology management consultants adept at solving complex business challenges. The consultants who work with us are seasoned professionals, with a minimum of 15 years of experience, hold exceptional credentials and are certified by their industry. Carole Nicolaides

Carole is Managing Partner and founder of Progressive Leadership Inc. and has 15 years business experience as trusted advisor to companies in the areas of culture change, strategy implementation, program management, team and leadership development. Carole has worked in a variety of industries, including information technology, financial services, communications, government agencies and healthcare industries. Some of the clients that she guided through major strategic change are Nationwide Insurance, Ohio Department of Taxation, Honda, Lucent Technologies, Motorola and ATT.

Carole provides advice and solutions across all parts of Progressive Leadership's services. However, she is particular passionate about developing leadership capabilities for project and program leaders. She specializes in exposing people's hidden aptitudes and talents, ensuring the right executives are selected for important leadership roles and advising senior executives during periods of organizational change. Her most obvious qualities are her energy, compassion, inspiration, creativity, resourcefulness, enthusiasm and passion about everything she does. By inspiring individuals and teams to be more than they think they can be, she launches group's productivity and morale to new heights!

Carole is recognized internationally as a dynamic and engaging speaker and has been invited to address conferences across North America and Europe on how project and technical leaders can develop emotional intelligence and leadership. With an uncanny ability to bring people together through her motivational style, people naturally open up to Carole. She has been described as extremely knowledgeable, accountable and someone with a tremendous amount of integrity.

Carole holds an MBA from Dominican University with emphasis in Strategy Development, Knowledge Management and Management Information Systems and a BA in Business Administration from Rosary College. She holds several industry certifications from PMI, ITIL & Corporate Coach University. She speaks fluent German, French, Greek and English, published numerous articles in professional journals and is currently authoring a book on leading change for project driven organizations.

Denos Christofi

Denos is a Managing Partner & Senior Technology Architect for Progressive Leadership Inc. He has 18 years experience as a senior technical advisor to global companies implementing strategic and information technology solutions. He works with top leadership of client organizations, typically CEOs, CIOs, senior executives of Fortune 500 companies and executive directors in the non-profit sector.

He has worked in senior management positions for companies such as Bank One, Unisys, MCI, Accenture and EMC and state government. He has excelled in building technology teams from the ground up, managing consulting engagements and lasting client relationships, forging strategic alliances, and directing technology research, innovation and integration. His diverse experience in multiple industries, his vision and ability to turn vision into reality has helped him to progressively advance in his career and be recruited in positions of troubled or high growth organizations, to reorganize, bring consistency, process improvement, spirit and success.

Denos joined Progressive Leadership in May of 2008 in an effort to offer innovative technical solutions for Progressive Leadership’s clients. Building on his extensive technology background and ITIL adoption experience, he combines storage innovative technologies, process maturity, business continuity planning and server virtualization to help customers develop comprehensive information management strategies.

Denos holds an MBA from University of Illinois and a BA in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University. He also holds several industry certifications from PMI, and the Service Master Certification from ITIL. He is passionate about mentoring young professionals and has taught technology management courses for Devry University and Dominican University.
